Catalogue Note
In 1877 Bosboom and his wife moved to the Veenlaan in the Hague. In the garden of their new house the artist had a studio built which he depicted several times in 1880. The present lot could be compared to the watercolour depicting Bosboom's studio in the Gemeentemuseum in the Hague, see Dinkelaar, p. 274.
