Condition

Mercurius: lacking the wings on his hat; his left arm broken and restuck in two places; the attribute in his left hand lacking and a chip near the point of attachment to his robe above his arm; the top corner of the letter in his right hand lacking; five chips to the edge of his robe; the large toe of his right foot lacking, with a chip and old restoration. The putto to his right: an overpainted chip to his hair; a loss to his left hand; his right arm broken and restuck at the shoulder; two fingers of his right hand lacking and with remains of old restoration; the wing and arrows on his back broken off and restuck with discoloured restoration (continuing on his left upper arm); one wing lacking. The rooster: a chip to his comb and three extremities of his tail (on the reverse) lacking. Base of figure: Some small chips to the underside of the foot rim. The stand: with rubbing to the gilding; to the front (in the center) a scroll lacking, a chip to a scroll extremity and circa 2 cm of the rim gilding overpainted (where the assembled putto was placed); a restuck break through the stand on which the figure is placed. The inkpot and sander lacking. The assembled putto: kept seperetaly (not fixed to the stand).
