painted with a band of alternating red and black tongues, the upper body reserved except for an encircling black line below the lip.

Condition

The foot is a modern restoration; the body of the vessel and handles intact, hairline crack, exterior surface pitted and worn in places, a few small chips to the back glaze retouched.
