probably from a standing or striding  figure, his forearms once resting on his kilt, and wearing a wrap-around kilt and wig with pointed lappets in front.

Collection of Royall Tyler (1884-1953), Paris
then by descent to the current owner

Condition

As shown, note damage to right arm and face, eyes in good condition, minor chips at the base of the back and on one side of wig.
