Condition

The lower edge is rough cut. There is some light wear to the corners and pin holes to the upper corners. Held in a dark painted wooden frame and under glass.

Catalogue Note

La valse, un poème chorégraphique, was composed by Maurice Ravel between 1919 and 1920. The ballet was first performed by Ida Rubinstein's dance company on 12th January 1929 in Monte Carlo.

The decor represents an imperial court circa 1855.
