Condition

Good condition for an object of this type and age. Crack through bottom portion as seen in photographs, with binding (native repair) and glue. Fitting for head on reverse is cracked with one proper right half now missing. Some remnants of fiber fittings. Some hairline cracks, scratches, chips and wear throughout, especially on edges. Small areas of minor insect damage. Bottom-most point on mask is worn from resting on the ground. Fine multi-layered patina with blackening and white crusty pigment as seen in photographs. Some repainting to even areas which have suffered from water damage, as evident in stains on the reverse.
