Condition

Fair condition overall. Age cracks, hairline cracks, and insect damage throughout. Loss of one segment to proper right of beak of central bird. Several losses to 'X' shaped element on reverse of frieze. Further losses to open work below lower bird. Bottom section stabilized with glue and three screws. Metal plate attached to back of bottom with two screws for mouting. Eye hook inserted into reverse of head. Aged patina with red, black, and white pigment, the beard made of fiber and resin fragile.
