  • diameter of the plaque 18 in.; height of table 21 3/4 in.
  • 45.5 cm; 55.5 cm
centered by a roundel showing St. Peter's Square within a malachite border, and surrounded by six ovals depicting the Temple of Vesta, St. Angel Castle and the Tiber bridge, the Pantheon, the Arch of Titus, the Arch of Janus Quadrifrons and the Colosseum within a lapis lazulis border decorated with six doves. Now mounted as a low circular  table.

Condition

Overall in good condition. As stated in the catalogue, the micromosaic is set on a later gueridon. LIght scratches to black marble and the tessarae with visible traces of dirt between them as expected from age.
