Condition
Overall very good restored condition. It appears that a later finish has been added to the piece at some point in its history. The metal inlays are stable with some minor evidence of tarnish and rubbing to minor isolated areas of patination. The circular brass inlay to the top surface of the lower shelf is lifting in three areas, one of which shows some evidence of restoration and adjacent minor chips to the wood. The top parchment surface has been overcoated and with one minor area of restoration, measuring two inches in length, visible in the catalogue illustration. This area appears lighter in color. A distinctive early work among the designs in the Sullivan collection.
