Condition
Overall very good original condition. The original leather cushions rest of a chromium-plated frame which suspends a canvas underseat. The canvas is fitted over the steel frame and along the centerline is held in place with laced rope and grommets. The original leather seat on this chaise has acquired a superb patination with age, and shows evidence of very light use. The leather is slightly faded due to sun exposure, and with some areas displays a slightly darker tone consistent with the natural aging process of the material and gentle use. With signs of slight compression of the cushion filling, which have resulted in some slack in the upholstered surface. The leather with scattered light shallow surface scratches, which do not break the surface of the leather. One impressed A to the proper left mid portion of the seat cushion. One very shallow abrasion to the proper left side of the front surface of the neck pillow. This is minor and visible in the catalogue. The leather cushions are removable from the frame and the neck pillow is fastened with snaps and can easily be removed. The canvas underseat with very gentle signs of use and a few scattered light discolorations, which are not visible when the leather seat is properly placed. The chromium-plated steel legs with minute scratches and adhesive residue. The caning at the armrest with light rubbing to the surface and some light fading from use. A very good original condition example of the form displaying a beautifully patinated leather seat cushion.
