Condition
Overall very good original condition. The frame is in good stable condition and retains all the original brass shade fasteners. The brass showing light discoloration consistent with the natural aging process, surface dirt and light scratches and surface residue. The glass is in very good condition. The glass displays subtle mauve tone, which is accurately portrayed in the catalogue illustration. Each glass elements with light surface scratches, air bubbles and imperfections inherent in the making and some surface dirt. The cap is adjustable and appears original. The electrical is currently fitted for US use and is stable. Some of the sockets fitted with adjusters to change the bulb size from European candle bulbs to the small US candle bulbs. This work is stunning in person with a detailed sculptural quality captured in the materials and the design. A superb example of Ingrand’s design aesthetic.
