Condition

Overall very good original condition. Both of the carpet designs are mounted to a larger paperwork, each with signature, date and commission name. Please visit sothebys.com to see images of both of the textile designs offered in this lot. The works are in contemporary wooden frames with glass fronts. The glass to the pink tapestry design with scratches to the surface of the glass. Each of the works with small particles suspended between the glass and the work, which are easily removed. With some evidence of fading to the large paper sheets, with minor rippling from the natural aging process of the paper and minute scratches. The pink colored work shows an area of discoloration and the proper left side almost ot eh corner, and another area possibly inherent in the paper to the middle of the deign four inches up from the lower border. Both of these are visible in the catalogue illustration. The larger sheet of paper on the pink example with some unevenness to the bottom edge, which also appears inherent in the original work, and not an issue of condition. Each of the works is stable and currently displayed in suited matching oak frames. The framed dimensions of the works appear in the catalogue.
