Description
- Line Vautrin
- "Gerbera" Mirror
- incised LINE VAUTRIN
- talosel and mirrored glass
Provenance
Wright Auctions, Chicago, June 6, 2004, lot 251
Condition
Overall very good condition. The inlays to the frame with scattered cracks to approximately 1/3 of the inlaid panels, which is consistent with the natural aging process of the material. These are all currently stable and there appear to be no losses to the glass inlays. The talosel with some scattered discolorations and surface dirt, as seen in the catalogue illustration. The talosel used in this mirror is white. The convex central mirror is in excellent condition. A very good example displaying a vivid lavender color.
The piece is fragile and should be handled with care, but remains in very good original condition.
Due to the materials and fragile nature of this mirror, special handling and/or packing may be required during the shipping process. Please inquire directly with the 20th Century Design or Post Sale Services Departments if you have any questions or require assistance regarding the shipping of this item.
