Condition

Overall very good condition, with the pile measuring1/5 inch throughout. With a possible area of restoration (re-piling) to the lower right corner of the carpet in the catalogue illustration that shows a slightly different color. The carpet with an area of staining, visible in the catalogue illustration to the upper right corner adjacent to the monogram. Sides are completed with cotton selvages. The ends are completed with original flatweave and have remnants of fringe, which is visible in the catalogue illustration. A very rare work to appear at auction.
