Catalogue Note

"Gianni Colombo's work contradicts the convention whereby geometry is seen as a class of immobility, as a place where the unalterable models of all structures reside. Colombo places the pure immobile forms of that convention within the dimension of movement. The ensuing alterations – or series of alterations are a cause of surprise." (Emilio Tadini cited in: Emilio Tadini, Gianni Colombo, Milan 1994, p. 10)
