Condition

These ferrotyped gelatin silver prints are in generally very good to excellent condition. In high raking light, faint scuffing, a few impressions not breaking the emulsion, and fingerprints are visible. As is typical of ferrotyped prints, there is some unevenness to the shiny surface when the print is examined in high raking light. Chair Against White Wall - Upon close examination, a few tiny deposits of original retouching are visible in the central portion of the image. The studio stamp on the reverse of the mount reads as follows: 'OTO KAMMAN / Lange Kerkstraat 70 / Telefoon 68298 / SCHIEDAM.' Also on the reverse of the mount, '631267' and 'NR.2' are written in an unidentified hand in pencil. White Chair - On the reverse of the mount, 'NR. 7' and '631257' are written in an unidentified hand in pencil. A small D-ring hanger is affixed to the reverse of the mount. Chair with rattan frame – On the reverse of the mount, 'NR. 6' and '631267' are written in an unidentified hand. A small D-ring hanger is affixed to the reverse of the mount. Chair with rattan frame – On the reverse of the mount, 'NR. 6' and '631267' are written in an unidentified hand. A small D-ring hanger is affixed to the reverse of the mount.
