Condition

Overall in very good condition, retaining its original patina throughout. The hand-wrought copper surfaces showing occasional minor surface scratches and abrasions, and with some areas of surface soiling and discoloration consistent with age and gentle use. With two small and minor surface indentations along the raised base border (flanking the seam line and also possibly inherent in the making). All of the decorative copper rivets appear intact and undisturbed. The interior of the bucket with surface soiling and light areas of surface oxidation and corrosion (mostly reserved to the bottom). The wrought iron handles are in very good condition, showing gentle rubbing and surface soiling. Unsigned. A beautiful example of this rare model, displaying vigorous hammering to the surfaces throughout, and an exceptionally deep and rich patina.
