Description

  • Le Corbusier
  • Dining Table, Model No. 1852
  • enameled wood and aluminium, chromium-plated steel and linoleum

Condition

Overall very good condition. The linoleum top surface, which is neutral in color and approximately a centimeter thick, appears to be original and has moderate ingrained surface dirt, stains and marks from years of use. The overall effect is not at all distracting, but the aura is definitely that of a work/drafting table and not a dining table. The surface is framed by a thin band of chromium-plated metal, on top of a black-painted steel frame, all of which is resting on a wooden plank with black-painted sides. Moderate wear to the paint. The aluminum legs show possible signs of a silver-paint overcoat, but also show moderate surface dirt and normal wear. Extremely sturdy.
