Condition

Original canvas, undulating slightly in the upper left and upper right corners. A strip of adhesive tape runs along the outer edges of the canvas. There are a few small, faint areas of craquelure near the upper left edge and there may be one or two minor losses to some of the thicker spots of impasto; otherwise the work appears in good overall condition. Ultraviolet light reveals no apparent signs of retouching. Held in a wooden box frame with a gilt border. Please telephone the department on 0207 293 6424 if you have any questions about the present work.
