Condition

The board is sound. The work has been painted into the frame. There is an old surface abrasion, running diagonally through two of the lime green half circles and the red background pigment lower right. There are a few spots of surface dirt and an area of bloom to the black circle. Otherwise the work is in excellent original condition. Ultraviolet light reveals a small spot of retouching in the lower left corner, which may be in the artist's hand. Held in a simple metallic slip frame. Please telephone the department on 020 7293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
