Condition
The board is sound.
There are two small diagonal surface abrasions to the beach in the lower left quadrant and one or two further spots of surface matter; otherwise the work appears in good original condition.
Ultraviolet light reveals no apparent signs of retouching.
Held in a gilt plaster frame with a canvas inset.
