Condition

Original canvas. There are areas of craquelure in the upper background and a few other isolated areas across the canvas. The surface is slightly dirty and may benefit from a light clean. Ultraviolet light reveals an opaque varnish which makes the reading difficult to interpret. However there is a small area of retouching beneath the boy's collar.
