Condition

Original canvas. A painting of a figure has been executed and painted over on the reverse. There is a small spot of lifting paint with a tiny resultant fleck of paint loss to the balck red petal in the centre of the composition. There is an additional tiny spot of lifting paint to the green leaf lower right. The surface is dirty with scattered specks of staining and may benefit from a light clean. Otherwise in generally good overall condition. Ultraviolet light reveals three small spots of retouching, to the white flower lower right, to the large green central stem, and to the pink flower to the left of this stem.
