Condition
The panel is slightly warped. There are two horizontal cracks in the panel each measuring 3in. in length, beginning along the left and right edges 2in. below the top edge. There are 2 artist pinholes along the left and right edges, which are only visible on the reverse.
The surface is slightly dirty but is in otherwise good overall condition.
Ultraviolet light reveals a few small flecked retouchings to the pink shirt and white sleeve on the right. Other pigments fluoresce which are apparently the hand of the artist.
Held in a stained and gilt plaster frame.
