The following condition report was kindly provided by Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc.: This painting has recently been restored and should be hung as is. The canvas has been lined. The only restoration and losses are situated in a thin break in the canvas above the book on the right side, in a blemish in her right shoulder in the left side and addressing a small loss in the mosaic wall immediately to the right of her head. Other than this the painting is in lovely state.
