Condition

Pile generally good very closely sheared 1/10 inch with scattered areas of wear low to knotheads and spot foundation, some warp ties showing. Dry foundation, do not recommend folding; best hung and kept flat. Some green dyes running into ivories. Scattered spot stains and surface dirt, should enhance with cleaning. Hanging sleeves sewn to reverse of upper end. Sides with later light brown wool overcasting. Ends secured with blanket stitch. Sound fabric and condition; design showing European influence and Victorian sensibility.
