Condition

Pile generally evenly low to knotheads with areas of spot foundation showing in upper half of rug; borders in better pile, 1/10 inch in areas. Minor scattered old repiling---not serious. Original 2 cord wool selvages with later overcasting, now with some losses and fraying. Partial outer end guard stripes with small losses into end guard borders---1-1/2 inch nick into upper end guard border. Very supple handle, good color and condition; unusual ikat-derived design.
