Condition

Pile generally good closely sheared 1/10 inch with lower end of rug worn low to knotheads and dark browns oxidized to knotheads, and spot foundation---some repiled and minor tinting in lowest spots. Scattered areas of horizontal foldwear near center and on sides with some repiled. A 5 x 1 inch reweave on right edge with a smaller (1-1/2 x 1 inch) one upper right side. A 1 x 1 inch repaired hold in ivory stepped gul below right of keyhole reserve. Several small, less than an inch, repaired slits along lower end edge. Remnants of original ivory cotton selvages with losses and later overcasting. Partial outer end dark brown guard stripes with ends partly secured with a binding stitch. Supple handle, sound fabric and condition.
