the upper structure with a red onyx inset top surrounded by a heart-shaped openwork gallery, fitted with two small drawers, the lower part with a sliding writing surface fitted with gilt-tooled dark green leather above two drawers, the carcass stamped HENRY DASSON & CIE. 1890 and left side gilt bronze border signed henry Dasson et Cie, 1890.

Condition

Overall in good condition with the usual minor scratches, dents and nicks to veneers and carcass consistent with age and use. Tarnishing to gilt-bronze in places. Surface overall with hairline cracks consistent with age. Three small cracks and a loss to the marble top.
