  • marked throughout with French control for export, bases with maker's mark and stamped Mce.M MAYER ORFEVREIE L'EMPEREUR

the bases applied with rocaille, floral swags and putto seated on vines, each side also with cartouche centered by blue enamel and applied with silver monogram JAC, the conforming knopped stems rising to six ivy-wrapped scroll branches and topped by a putto with tambourines

Condition

enamel chipped around central fastenings of monograms, one top does not screw tight so turns, recently thoroughly cleaned, otherwise good condition, impressive
