reserved with a panel painted after Peter Paul Rubens with the "Rape of the Daughters of Leucippus", pseudo shield mark in blue.
Condition
A 3-inch piece has been broken out of the top of the stem beneath the molded mask on the reverse of the vase and restored back. The restoration is very well done.
There is also a very fine haircrack curving from approximately 4 inches beneath the rim downwards and across the top of the handle on one side extending approximately 1 inch further. The crack is not readily apparent on the exterior. Otherwise in good condition.
