each surmounted by a later white marble top with outswept rounded front corners, the cabinet opening to one shelf.
Condition
Overall in good condition with the usual minor scratches, dents and nicks to veneers and carcass consistent with age and use. Tarnishing to gilt-bronze in places. The marble with the usual minor chips to edges, scratches to surface consistent with age and use. Apparent restoration to tortoiseshell and brass inlay by overpaint. Restorations are visible to the naked eye. There is also some lifting to the brass inlay and losses to the ebony inlay in places. Both cabinets have a Christie's label affixed to their back with the stock number RL809.
