the neoclassical females issuing aloft four candle arms, set on reverse tapering pedestals, the gilt bronze base applied with stars beneath the female figures, each inscribed DAVID.

Condition

Overall in good condition with the usual minor scratches, dents and nicks to veneers and carcass consistent with age and use. The gilt bronze has possibly been re-gilded. Each candle arm shows traces of filler beneath the mask, possibly as a result of old wiring. One section of the gilt bronze beaded banding has been replaced on each torchiere.
