- height of candelabra 28 in.; width of clock 24 in.
- 71 cm; 61 cm
the clock case surmounted by a seated Sappho by an atheniene, after a model by Alfred Louis Habere, and inscribed A. HABERE, together with a pair of six-light figural candelabra, the twin train movement with the DEPLAN & SALLES stamp and numbered 588.
Condition
Overall in fair condition, tarnishing to gilt-bronze candle branches and figures. The seated sappho is lacking her scepter to her left hand. There are overall chips to all edges of onyx and with some visible repair to onyx. All nozzles are lacking two sconces except one and there would have been originally chains joining each candle arms.
