surmounted by a brèche d'Alep marble top, all vernis Martin panels decorated with pastoral scenes gallantes, one corner chute has been removed to reveal the stamp ZN from the bronze master model
Condition
Overall in good condition with the usual minor scratches, dents and nicks to veneers and carcass consistent with age and use. The marble with the usual minor chips to edges, scratches to surface consistent with age and use. Wear and tarnishing to gilt bronze, with dirt. The bronze has been varnished. The varnish can be professionally removed and the bronze cleaned. The vernis Martin panels with craquelure, consistent with age and sun damage and with consistent in-painting for cosmetic restoration. The commode is locked and missing its key.
