Overall in good condition. Although the cast is well-executed, the patina shows wear to all high relief, and most probably areas of overpaint/re-patination. One 3/4 inch crack to back side of sculpture.

Discovered on 15^th January 1506, the Laocoön group soon eclipsed even the Apollo Belvedere in fame and for several centuries the two were ranked together as the pre-eminent works of antiquity.
