Condition
Original canvas. There are a few minor spots of retouching visible under ultraviolet light in the shade under the arch (including one behind the standing figure), and one to the lower left of the signature. There is fluorescence under UV in the thick cream-coloured pigments in the tiles, but this appears to be the artist's original pigments and not retouching. There is some yellowing of the varnish with time and an approx 5cm wear through the canvas at the extreme lower right edge (not visible when the work is framed). Overall this work is in fair condition.
