Condition
Original canvas. There are no signs of retouching visible under ultraviolet light. Apart from some localised hairline craquelure, notably in the neck and head of the dark horse, and some yellowing of the varnish, this work is in good untouched condition. Held in a simple gold-painted wood and plaster frame.
