Condition
Original canvas. There are no signs of retouching visible under ultraviolet light. Apart from some localised hairline vertical craquelure, notably in and beneath the man's box, the work is in very good untouched condition, with strong impasto. Held in a gold-painted wood and plaster frame with Islamic motifs.
