Condition
The canvas has been relined. There are scattered spots and strokes of old retouching visible under ultraviolet light, notably along a 19cm possible repaired diagonal tear above the riders in the lower left and a 5cm stroke with associated spots near the upper edge on the right. There is surface dirt and some yellowing of the varnish, and the work would benefit from a surface clean.
