The canvas has been strip lined. There is fine craquelure throughout, as well as some fine lines of separation in the thicker pigments in the snow. There are also three small losses in the upper background. There is an area of restoration in the lower left foreground, visible under ultraviolet light, and other scattered fine lines and small strokes of inpainting througout, primarily to the craquelure. With the exception of the above mentioned losses, the painting is ready to hang in its current state. Held in a wide, decorative mock ebony frame with a gold-painted inner accent.
