Condition

Original canvas. There are strokes and spots of retouching visible under ultraviolet light overall, notably in and around her right hand, face and upper body; a 19 by 11cm area in the background in the upper left quadrant; a 15cm repaired tear in the grass in the lower right and 2 parallel 9cm repaired tears to the left of her skirt. There is a faint horizontal stretcher mark through the centre of the composition and fine craquelure in her hat and face. Held in a decorative frame with metallic patina effect.
