Catalogue Note
Painted between 1922 and 1926, the artist captures the beauty and seductive gaze of Julita Cerdá at the peak of her career. The Catalan actress was particularly successful for her role in La fiesta del sainete that took place in the Teatro Apolo in Madrid in 1926, commemorating the 18th anniversary of this traditional celebration.
