Condition
Original canvas. There are strokes of retouching visible under ultraviolet light around two repaired tears near the lower edge in the centre, one 8cm long and the other 5cm long and a small spot of retouching addressing paint loss near the left edge in the centre. There is some fine craquelure in the white pigment of the horse. Held in a silver-painted wood and plaster frame with Islamic motifs.
