Description
of long rectangular form with foliate corners, the shallow sides supported on four splayed legs rising to a flared rim set with a raised beaded edge
Condition
The overall condition is very good with no chips or repairs. The patina is attractive, showing off the dense grain of the wood.

See a rectangular tray made in zitan attributed to the late Ming period sold at Christie's Hong Kong, 27th November 2007, lot 1835; and another made in huanghuali illustrated in Chan Chair and Qin Bench. The Dr. S. Y. Yip collection of Classic Chinese Furniture II, Hong Kong, 1998, pl. 40.
