- aquatinte au sucre, grattoir et pointe-sèche, superbe épreuve avant l'aciérage de la planche, titre imprimée avec barbe, selon Baer le tirage de cet état avant l'aciérage de la planche aurait été d'environ 19 exemplaires, il y a également eu l'édition du livre en 1942 (cette planche fut seulement utilisée pour les 36 premiers exemplaires de cette édition), sur vergé de Montval.

With narrow margins, a deckle edge below, (the published edition was without margins), two tiny fox marks at the lower sheet edge, some minor handling creases, otherwise in very good condition

aquatint, 1936, a fine impression before steelfacing, the title printed with burr, Baer records approximately 19 impressions printed before the plate was steelfaced (there was also a book edition published in 1942, this subject only appears in the first 36 examples), on Montval laid paper.
