Literature

Eugenia Parry Janis, Degas Monotypes, Fogg Art Museum & Harvard University (catalogue d'exposition), 1968, no. 110-111, probablement deux autres tirages reproduits  (daté vers 1878-80)

Condition

Executed on cream laid paper, not laid down. The sheet is hinged to the mount at two points along the left edge. The left, right and lower edges are slightly irregular. The main motif is in very good condition. Sheet: a close inspection reveals two very minor tears in the upper corners possibly due to the previous mounting and a very small 1cm flattened crease in the lower right corner. Apart from two stains towards the centre of the upper and right edges, a slight discoloration of the sheet and some time staining, this work is in very good condition.
