En entrant dans la salle à manger, je me trouvais en face de trois Cézanne : la 'Femme au chapelet' passé plus tard dans la collection de Jacques Doucet, ce 'Champ de blés' que je retrouvais (...) à la vente Bernstein et enfin la fameuse 'Sainte-Victoire', acquise depuis par Courtauld le grand collectionneur londonien (...)."
