Catalogue Note
A fine example of this major work.
The first edition was published by Blaeu's heirs in 1682 with Latin text, the first with French text was published by A. Moetjens in 1700. The present example is a re-issue of P. Mortier's edition of 1704.
Unlike Blaeu's townbooks of the Netherlands this work comprises more architectural drawings and elevations. The views include Turin, Nice and Vercelli.
