Folio (460 x 320mm.), double-page engraved additional title-page (dated Antwerp 1658), engraved arms on dedication, 42 double-page engraved plates, woodcut initials, head- and tail-pieces, woodcut illustrations in text, nineteenth-century brown morocco gilt, spine gilt in compartments with crowned monogram "HS" in one compartment, gilt edges, burgundy watered silk endpapers, [Nissen ZBI 848; cf. Mellon 49 (1743 edition)], frontispiece slightly creased and repaired at foot of central fold, plate 35 torn and repaired on right hand side (without loss but affecting image), occasional light foxing, small stain on Xx1, binding rubbed, upper joint weak
